West Virginia Health Information Network
The West Virginia Health Information Network (WVHIN) was established by the state Legislature to promote the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of a fully interoperable statewide network to facilitate public and private use of health care information in the state while ensuring the privacy and security of patient health care information.
As a consultant to the WVHIN, the NTTC is working with Accenture, LLC, and eight other state health information exchanges on developing a set of specified data-content requirements for secure data delivery and delivery confirmation to EMR, PHR, and bio-surveillance data. The NTTC also represented the WVHIN at the National Health Information Network Core Content Workgroup and worked with eight other states to identify and define data standards.
